Description
Parenting can be deeply rewarding—and equally challenging. Many parents find themselves struggling with their child at times, whether or not there is a diagnosis involved. This workshop is for all parents who are finding things hard, feeling unsure, or wanting to better understand their child and themselves. No diagnosis is needed to attend. And if your child does have a diagnosis and you are struggling, this workshop is equally for you.
As a qualified Art Therapist and ADHD Coach, and as a parent to a child with ADHD, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience. While my background includes specialist ADHD training, this workshop is not diagnosis-led. Instead, it focuses on the universal aspects of parenting: understanding child development, recognising the skills children need to thrive, and learning how we as parents can support those skills—beginning with our own ability to regulate and respond with calm and connection.
Throughout the day, we will explore how children’s brains develop, the key executive functioning skills that underpin learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing, and how stress impacts both children and parents. A central theme of this workshop is parental self-regulation—helping parents understand their own emotional responses so they can remain grounded, present, and supportive during challenging moments.
This workshop offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space to learn practical tools, build confidence, and strengthen relationships—supporting healthier, more connected family life, whatever your child’s needs or circumstances.
This Workshop Is For You If:
- You are struggling with your child and don’t know why
- You feel overwhelmed, reactive, or unsure how to respond at times
- Your child does not have a diagnosis, but parenting feels hard
- Your child does have a diagnosis and you want greater understanding and support
- You want to build stronger connection, confidence, and calm within your family
